Job summary

Ro Health, LLC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our correctional healthcare team in Amarillo and throughout West Texas. This contract, full-time role focuses on delivering essential nursing care within secure facilities and coordinating with medical staff to ensure patient safety and evidence-based treatment.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, and educate inmates on health maintenance while complying with facility policies and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or compact license in good standing.
• BLS Certification required.
• Ability to pass a strict background check.
• Prior corrections experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatments.
• Monitor and document patients’ health status and respond to medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients on health conditions, medication adherence, and preventive care.
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, and chronic disease management.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
• Collaborate and support LVNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility guidelines.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records.

This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.
