Mercy Springfield is hiring for 7D- Med Tele, with weekend shifts and rotation. The role emphasizes nursing care using the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework, coordinating with other departments, and safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality.

The unit offers a Nurse Residency Program, real-world learning, and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license and BLS certification.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA) or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient care following Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Support the 7D-Med Tele unit with telemetry, cardiac care and multi-system patient needs.
• Participate in Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area.

Position Details: This position will be every Friday, Sat, Sunday 7a-7p once off orientation.

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties"Nurse Residency Available: Mercy Springfield offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area in which each nurse is hired. All graduate nurses participate in the program, along with select experienced nurses based on their individual experience and professional development needs.

Our unit offers numerous learning opportunities, providing a strong foundation in nursing and clinical skills. We handle both chronic and acute diseases, balancing telemetry, and cardiac care. Our patients present with multi-system needs, including chest pain, heart failure, dysrhythmias, sepsis, infectious disease, wound management, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, gastrointestinal conditions and more. We also care for patients requiring surgical interventions such as cath lab procedures, angiograms, EGD, colonoscopy, and anticoagulation therapies.
