Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to support a weekend rotation (Friday–Sunday, 7a–7p) with an orientation period. The unit emphasizes telemetry and skilled care across a range of diagnoses, with strong interdisciplinary coordination and patient rights protection.

New grads may enter Mercy's Nurse Residency program; comprehensive benefits include education assistance, relocation support, and employer‑matched retirement, plus frontloaded PTO and multiple shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or completed within 30 days of hire.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care guided by the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Support telemetry and cardiac care needs on the Med Tele unit and associated services.

Position Details: This position will be every Friday, Sat, Sunday 7a-7p once off orientation.

Our patients present with multi-system needs, including chest pain, heart failure, dysrhythmias, sepsis, infectious disease, wound management, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, gastrointestinal conditions and more. We also care for patients requiring surgical interventions such as cath lab procedures, angiograms, EGD, colonoscopy, and anticoagulation therapies.
