Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center seeks an experienced RN Weekend Supervisor to lead weekend nursing staff and uphold high‑quality patient care. You will conduct daily rounds, develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team, and mentor staff while coordinating with therapy and administration to ensure smooth operations.

Active Alabama RN licensure and CPR certification are required; strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment are essential in this fast-paced rehab

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise weekend nursing staff to ensure patient care delivery.
• Conduct daily rounds to assess patient care and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with therapy and administrative staff to ensure smooth care transitions and workflows.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Summary

As a vital part of our Weekend Supervision Team at Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, the RN Weekend Supervisor is responsible for leading our nursing staff on weekends to ensure exceptional patient care and outcomes. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants on weekends to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery
• Conduct daily rounds to assess patient care and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collaborate with other departments, including therapy and administrative staff, to ensure seamless care transitions and efficient workflows
• Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Alabama
• CPR Certification
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
• Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
• Experience in rehabilitation or long-term care settings a plus
