Job summary

ContinueCARE Hospital is recruiting an Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect nursing care for adults and geriatrics. You will direct and supervise patient care during your shift, delegating tasks to LPNs and CNAs, and collaborate with physicians and other departments to maintain high standards of care.

Required: current RN license in Kentucky, BLS at hire, ACLS within 90 days, and ICU experience preferred. This is a drug-free workplace and equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect nursing care for patients aged 18 and older.

• Carry out the nursing process and ensure standards of nursing practice are met.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and other departments.

Job description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of all patients ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric. He/she is also responsible for the overall direction and supervision of all patient care during his/her shift. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing care to patients. Satisfies the established standards of nursing practice. Supervises and delegates patient care tasks to LPN, CNA/PCT and other patient care team members. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.

Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in Kentucky. BLS is required upon hire and ACLS within 90 days of hire. Experience working in an acute care environment and critical care experience preferred.
