Job summary

ContinueCARE Hospital in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN day and night shifts. The RN will provide direct and indirect nursing care for adults from 18 years to geriatric, supervise the care team, and ensure adherence to nursing standards during each shift.

Requirements include a Kentucky RN license, BLS on hire and ACLS within 90 days. Acute care experience is preferred. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.

• Experience in an acute care environment; critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care for patients ranging from 18 years to geriatric.
• Supervise and delegate patient care tasks to LPN, CNA/PCT and other care team members during the shift.
• Carry out the nursing process and ensure standards of nursing practice are met.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and colleagues from other departments.

Job description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of all patients ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing care to patients. Satisfies the established standards of nursing practice. Supervises and delegates patient care tasks to LPN, CNA/PCT and other patient care team members. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.
Seeking PRN DAY SHIFT 6:45AM-7PM and PRN NIGHT SHIFT 6:45PM-7am
Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in Kentucky. BLS is required upon hire and ACLS within 90 days of hire. Experience working in an acute care environment and critical care experience preferred.
