Dawson Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time Weekend Baylor position. As a Weekend Baylor RN, you will perform resident assessments, medication administration, care coordination, and supervise nursing

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky RN license.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• SNF/LTC or rehab nursing experience preferred.
• Charge nurse or nursing supervisor experience preferred.
• Behavioral health, dementia, memory care, or post-acute rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care according to physician orders and care plans.
• Conduct resident assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Safely administer medications, treatments, and therapies.
• Monitor and respond to changes in resident conditions.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with nursing regulations.
• Maintain electronic health records and documentation.
• Participate in admissions, discharges, transfers, and care planning.
• Promote resident dignity and person-centered care.
• Assist residents with behavioral health challenges using effective communication.

Position Summary

Dawson Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time Weekend Baylor position. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care, clinical leadership, and supervision within our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Rehabilitation Center while enjoying a stable weekend schedule.

As a Weekend Baylor RN, you will perform resident assessments, medication administration, care coordination, and supervise nursing staff. This position suits experienced RNs passionate about long-term care nursing, rehabilitation, geriatric nursing, and nursing leadership.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care according to physician orders and personalized care plans
• Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and clinical evaluations
• Safely administer medications, treatments, and therapies
• Monitor and respond promptly to changes in resident conditions
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility nursing regulations
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
• Participate in admissions, discharges, transfers, and care planning
• Promote resident dignity and person-centered care
• Assist residents with behavioral health challenges using effective communication and de-escalation
• Serve as a clinical resource and leader during weekend shifts

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Valid CPR Certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team

Preferred:

• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC)
• Rehabilitation nursing experience
• Previous Charge Nurse or Nursing Supervisor experience
• Experience with behavioral health, dementia, memory care, or post-acute rehabilitation
