Job summary

Dawson Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time Weekend Baylor position. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care, clinical leadership, and supervision within our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Rehabilitation Center while enjoying a stable weekend schedule.

As a Weekend Baylor RN, you will perform resident assessments, medication administration, care coordination, and supervise nursing

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky RN license.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• SNF/LTC or rehab nursing experience preferred.
• Charge nurse or nursing supervisor experience preferred.
• Behavioral health, dementia, memory care, or post-acute rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care according to physician orders and care plans.
• Conduct resident assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Safely administer medications, treatments, and therapies.
• Monitor and respond to changes in resident conditions.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with nursing regulations.
• Maintain electronic health records and documentation.
• Participate in admissions, discharges, transfers, and care planning.
• Promote resident dignity and person-centered care.
• Assist residents with behavioral health challenges using effective communication.
• Serve as a clinical resource and leader during weekend shifts.
