UAB Medical West Hospital in Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care. The RN assesses patients on admission, plans, implements, and evaluates care, and administers medications, documenting patient progress.
The RN will supervise LPNs and Patient Care Technicians as assigned and must hold an ADN, be licensed by the Alabama Board of Nursing, and maintain BLS certification (ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit).
The Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed, patient-centered nursing care. The Registered Nurse assesses patients upon admission; plans, implements, and evaluates patient care; administers medications; and evaluates and documents patients status and progress. The Registered Nurse also supervises LPNs, Patient Care Techs, and other team members as assigned.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution is required. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Must possess American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire. ACLS and/or PALS certification from the American Heart Association may be required depending on the nursing unit.
