UAB Medical West Hospital in Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed patient-centered care. You will assess patients upon admission, plan, implement, and evaluate care, and document progress.
The role requires an ADN from an accredited program and a current Alabama RN license. BLS is required within 30 days of hire; ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on the unit. Supervisory responsibilities include LPNs and support staff.
The Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed, patient-centered nursing care. The Registered Nurse assesses patients upon admission; plans, implements, and evaluates patient care; administers medications; and evaluates and documents patients status and progress. The Registered Nurse also supervises LPNs, Patient Care Techs, and other team members as assigned.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution is required. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Must possess American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire. ACLS and/or PALS certification from the American Heart Association may be required depending on the nursing unit.
