Job summary

Tupper Lake Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in New York is seeking Weekend Baylor RNs to join our team. Part-time shifts run 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am, totaling 24 hours per week.

Candidates must hold an up-to-date NY RN license and have prior nursing home experience. You will direct nursing care, supervise staff, participate in admissions and rounds, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing care in line with long-term care regulations and facility guidelines.
• Ensure nursing service staff adhere to their job descriptions.
• Assist in admitting, transferring, and discharging residents as needed.
• Greet and assess new admissions.
• Monitor and report accident/incident events per policy.
• Provide leadership including supervision and administration.
• Lead staff meetings and in-services as required.
• Review care plans to ensure appropriate care is delivered.
• Address grievances from residents or families, reporting actions taken.
• Review nursing documentation for accuracy and completeness; monitor changes in condition.
• Conduct rounds with physicians as necessary.
• Participate in surveys/inspections by regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and submit reports and perform other admin duties.
• Follow CDC and health department guidance for current public health situations.

Tupper Lake Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for Weekend Baylor RNs to join its team.

Part time positions open 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am.

Candidates must have an up to date NY RN License as well as prior Nursing Home experience.

Job Duties include:

• Direct day to day functions of nursing care in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure that all nursing service personnel are following their respective job descriptions.
• Assist in the process of admitting, transferring, discharging residents as necessary.
• Greet and assess all new admissions.
• Monitor accident/incident reportable events for accuracy and completeness: submit to appropriate administrative staff as per facility policy.
• Provide leadership that includes administrative and supervisory principles.
• Assist with or conduct staff meetings and in-services as required.
• Review resident care plans to ensure appropriate care is being rendered.
• Review grievances made by residents and/or family members and make a written or oral report to the DNS or forward to the Social Service department, indicating what actions were taken to resolve the complaint or grievance.
• Review Nursing documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness in information and descriptions. Monitor documentation to include nursing care given and resident response to care. Monitor change of conditions are addressed in nurses notes. RCP, and 24 hours report sheets. Provide follow up with appropriate staff if documentation does not meet standards. Conduct rounds with physicians as necessary.
• Participate in survey (inspection) conducted by authorized government agencies.
• Provide written and/or oral reports or recommendations concerning the activities or your shift as required.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, report, evaluations, studies, charting, administrator on call, facility’s Quality Assurance program, etc. as necessary.
• Follows published guidance from the CDC and Department of Public Health regarding the current public health emergency

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 hours per week
