Job summary

Mercy seeks an experienced RN for the vAcute virtual triage program. The role serves as a 24/7 ED handoff contact, facilitates scheduling, and supports patients in Mercy's Intense Care Coordination program, across the care continuum.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure), with 2–3 years in Med-Surg, ED, or Critical Care, and BLS certification. Additional certifications may be required depending on unit needs.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the hiring state and/or compact licensure required.
• 2–3 years of recent Med-Surg, ED, or Critical Care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certifications such as ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC etc. may be required depending on unit.
• Ability to meet state nursing board requirements and maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a 24/7 point of contact for ED handoffs.
• Facilitate scheduling and support Mercy's Intense Care Coordination program.
• Provide education and coordinated care across the continuum.
• Operate within the vAcute program and Mercy policies.
