Legacy Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ventilator Program in Parma, Ohio. The role focuses on caring for residents with tracheostomies, ventilator support, and complex respiratory needs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate has an Ohio RN license, CPR certification, and at least one year of nursing experience in ventilator or pulmonary care settings, including LTACH or SNF ventilator units.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred.
• Ventilator Program, Pulmonary Unit, LTACH, ICU, or SNF vent unit experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomy care, airway management, and respiratory treatments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents requiring ventilator and respiratory support.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Manage ventilator-dependent residents per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, respiratory assessments, and airway management.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Respond to changes in resident conditions and emergencies.
• Educate residents and family members regarding treatment plans and care goals.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
