Job summary

Advanced Healthcare Center in Toledo, Ohio is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive respiratory care for residents with tracheostomies, mechanical ventilation, and oxygen therapy within an interdisciplinary team.

You will assess respiratory status, manage ventilator care, monitor CPAP/BiPAP, collaborate with Respiratory Therapy, develop individualized care plans, document interventions, and educate residents, families, and staff on disease management and equipment.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license
• Minimum 1 year ventilator care experience
• Current CPR certification (BLS) required
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, pulmonary care, or critical care preferred but not required
• Experience caring for residents with tracheostomies and mechanical ventilation preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care

Responsibilities

• Assess residents with respiratory conditions and identify changes in respiratory status
• Provide specialized nursing care for residents with tracheostomies and mechanical ventilators

Respiratory Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary team at Advanced Healthcare Center in Toledo, Ohio. As a Respiratory Nurse, you will provide comprehensive respiratory nursing care to residents with tracheostomies, mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and other chronic respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess residents with respiratory conditions and identify changes in respiratory status

• Provide specialized nursing care for residents with tracheostomies and mechanical ventilators

• Monitor oxygen therapy, non-invasive ventilation (CPAP, BiPAP, and AVAPS), and respiratory treatments

• Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy regarding ventilator management, respiratory treatments, and resident care planning

• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans

• Recognize and respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and changes in condition

• Ensure accurate documentation of respiratory assessments, treatments, interventions, and resident responses
