Job summary

Flint Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation in Newark, OH is seeking a compassionate RN with ventilator experience to join our respiratory care team. You will provide direct patient care, monitor respiratory status, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to support residents with complex ventilator needs.

The role requires an Ohio RN license and at least 1 year of ventilator experience, plus strong clinical assessment and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Ohio.
• Minimum of 1 year of ventilator experience required.
• Tracheostomy and respiratory care experience.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Dependable, compassionate and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents requiring ventilator and respiratory support.
• Monitor residents for changes in respiratory and overall clinical condition.
• Perform nursing assessments and administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Provide tracheostomy and ventilator-related care within nursing scope of practice.
• Respond to changes in resident condition and emergencies.
• Collaborate with Respiratory Therapists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise and support CNAs and other nursing staff.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies.
