Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an experienced RN Team Leader for on-site Utilization Management to oversee UM staff and coordinate patient care across acute, chronic and long-term stages. You will liaise with physicians, review medical necessity cases, and guide daily operations to optimize hospital resources and patient flow.

You will supervise staff, ensure quality documentation, and lead training and performance improvement activities within the UM department at Wellstar.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Georgia.
• Experience leading utilization management or hospital care teams.
• Strong collaboration with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with Manager, Director and other Healthcare Team Leaders.
• Oversee daily staffing/ distribution of workload and coaching of staff.
• Monitor denial ratios and Epic WQ performance; ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide training, orientation and mentorship to UM staff and students.
