Recruit Secure is collaborating with a highly-rated Skilled Nursing Home (200+ beds) in the Wayne, NJ area that is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager for direct hire. The Unit Manager will be responsible for directing the nursing staff and overseeing the overall operations of the assigned Nursing Unit. Additionally, the Unit Manager supports the Director of Nursing in achieving a high level of patient care and supports the patients, families, and staff. The successful candidate will have experience as an RN in a Skilled Nursing Home, with a proven track record of mentoring and supervising staff, interacting with all levels of interdisciplinary teams and physicians, and being familiar with DOH regulations. Responsibilities:

1. The Unit Manager handles all supervisory duties for the unit.
2. Help establish and implement employee policies and procedures.
3. Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical and career advice.
4. Maintain the standards of care for the unit.
5. Review Resident records and quality of care.
6. Monitor overall care and review individual Residents’ cases.
7. Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families.
8. Represent the unit's interests with upper-level management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Long Term Care experience.
• At least 1 year of Charge Nurse or Supervisory experience.
• Must hold a valid NJ RN License.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
