Applicants should be graduates of accredited nursing programs, hold active state licensure, and have BLS/CPR certification with leadership experience. Competitive pay, a $10,000 sign-on, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing with three years of nursing experience.
• Nursing Diploma with three years of nursing experience; BSN with two years.
• At least one year of nurse leadership experience required.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage.
• Participate with interdisciplinary team to achieve patient goals and minimize rehospitalizations.
• Mentor and educate nurses, working with physicians and other medical professionals, and serve as a resource to all staff within the nursing unit regarding the quality of services provided.
• Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and that all medications are handled in accordance Genesis policy.
• Provide direct patient care along with the other unit nurses to maintain skills.
