Job summary

Evergreen in Battle Creek, MI is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to coordinate clinical care on a 24-hour unit and lead an interdisciplinary team delivering quality resident care.

You will supervise the nursing staff, conduct regular rounds with patients and staff, train the team on care processes, ensure timely reports (infection control, pharmacy compliance, quality management) and foster hospitality and exceptional service every day.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Current Michigan RN license and CPR-BLS certification.
• Strong analytical ability to develop personalized care plans and solve problems.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork orientation.
• Ability to lead nursing team and manage shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing team including giving direction, assignments, training, and evaluations.
• Conduct regular rounds with patients and staff to monitor performance and care.
• Instruct the team regarding the skilled care process and act as a clinical resource.
• Ensure completion of requested reports (infection control, pharmacy compliance, quality management).
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests and visitors.

The Unit Manager is a registered nurse who is responsible for coordinating the clinical care of an assigned unit within the center’s 24 hour operation and ensuring consistent and quality care for all residents. You will be empowered to assess the needs and implement care as you deem necessary utilizing the latest in technology and being a part of a strong interdisciplinary team.

You will earn

Shift Coverage

• All shifts include rotating weekends and holidays, as well as rotating on-call schedule.

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Michigan; current CPR-BLS certification.
• A high level of analytical abilities in order to prepare personalized care plans, implement effective nursing care and rehabilitation, and develop solutions to difficult problems concerning well-being.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
