Notre Dame Health Care Center, Inc. seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, directing and evaluating total nursing care in accordance with federal and state standards.

The role requires supervising shifts, addressing personnel and resident safety concerns, and reporting to the DON. Strong geriatrics knowledge, infection control, and supervisory skills are essential, with weekend/on-call responsibilities and a flexible schedule.

Formación

• Must hold and maintain a current RN license (MA).
• 3-5 years of clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics.
• 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrate understanding that state and Federal rules and regulations govern the practices within the facility.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of infection control principles and practices.
• Flexibility with weekend/on-call responsibilities is required.
• Regular reporting to the Director of Nursing (DON).

Responsabilidades

• Assist the DON in planning, directing and evaluating total nursing care.
• Supervise all shift operations and address personnel relations, safety, and resident rights concerns.
• Participate in annual performance evaluations for direct staff.
• Communicate relevant concerns to the DON in a timely manner.
• May be required to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Support interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments.
