Job summary

Genesiscareers in Lexington, NC seeks a Unit Manager - RN to oversee a nursing unit, delivering high-quality, cost-effective care and guiding staff to meet standards and patient goals.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to schedule coverage, mentor nurses, manage medications, participate with the interdisciplinary team, and contribute to reducing rehospitalizations while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• At least one year of nurse leadership experience.
• Nursing licensure in state of practice and BLS/CPR certification.
• Three years nursing experience for ADN/ Diploma paths; two years for BSN path.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage.
• Participate with interdisciplinary team to achieve patient goals and reduce rehospitalizations.
• Mentor and educate nurses; coordinate with physicians and staff as a resource.
• Oversee medication management in accordance with policy.
• Provide direct patient care along with unit nurses.
