Job summary

Onyx Care of Ruston is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Unit Manager. You will oversee daily operations of the skilled nursing facility, ensuring residents receive compassionate, professional care and safe, efficient service.

You will lead nursing staff, coordinate admissions and discharges, administer medications as ordered, and partner with other departments to maintain high standards of patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Louisiana nursing license required.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Meet with assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan shift services.
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning shift activities.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel on the unit/shift.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental staff.
