Job summary

Hagerstown Nursing and Rehab is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead nursing staff at our Maryland facility in Hagerstown. This full-time role requires a valid RN license and a nursing degree, plus several years in long-term care.

You will oversee staffing, training, care plans, and adherence to policies, while collaborating with the DON and other departments to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance. Join a team that values leadership and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in long term care.
• Must maintain current CPR certification.
• Previous supervisory/management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate nursing staffing levels to deliver quality resident care.
• Coordinate with staff scheduler to monitor attendance and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
• Identify staffing needs and communicate with Director of Nursing.
• Assist in orientation and training of new employees and participate in ongoing training.
• Develop and communicate shift assignments for nursing staff and monitor performance to meet standards.
• Communicate with ancillary departments on resident conditions, needs, and concerns.
• Ensure adherence to established departmental policies and procedures.
• Evaluate staff performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in center projects, program development, and committees as needed.
