Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Unit Manager/Director - RN in Waterville, Maine to lead nursing and patient care within an assigned unit. You will work with the Director of Nursing to ensure high-quality care, positive clinical outcomes, and satisfaction among patients, residents, families, and staff.

You will supervise staffing, coordinate clinical operations, and align care with state and federal regulations while promoting the company’s mission and standards.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure that patient/resident care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and company policies in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on assigned nursing unit.
• Manage the human resources in assigned unit to include limiting use of overtime and agency personnel, recruiting and orientating staff, assessing the work performance of nursing staff, and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.
