Job summary
Ciena Healthcare is seeking an RN Unit Manager for one of its Michigan facilities. The role provides clinical leadership, mentors nursing staff, and ensures safe, high-quality resident care in compliance with regulations.
The position is on-site with no travel requirements and reports to Nursing Administration. Ideal candidates will hold a BSN preferred and have at least 2 years in long-term care with 1 year in a supervisory role, plus an active RN license and CPR certification.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care or post-acute setting.
- Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management role preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of employment; CPR certification required or within 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Supervises nursing care provided by RNs, LVNs/LPNs and CNAs/STNAs.
- Performs supervisory responsibilities in line with policies and laws.
- Interviews, hires and trains staff; plans and directs workflow.
- Prepares evaluations and manages staffing, schedules and break coverage.
- Ensures resident safety and regulatory compliance.
