Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care or post-acute setting.
• Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management role preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs/STNAs.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Interviews, hires and trains employees; plans, assigns and directs workflow.
• Prepares work assignment sheets and monitors resident safety and staff capabilities.
• Receives calls and arranges replacements for absent staff; transfers employees between units as needed.
• Prepares performance evaluations and manages tenure and wage considerations.
• Schedules and adjusts breaks; resolves employee complaints and enforces discipline as needed.
