Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Unit Manager at Westbury in Houston, TX to oversee daily nursing unit operations and clinical management. The role leads nursing staff, coordinates patient care, and ensures regulatory compliance while optimizing resources and fostering a safe, patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active Texas RN license with 3+ years of clinical experience and prior leadership, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Texas.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure adherence to clinical standards and best practices.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers with accurate documentation.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families.
• Monitor and evaluate patient care quality and address issues promptly to maintain high standards.
• Manage staffing schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing training and development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Oversee inventory management and ordering of medical supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to facilitate effective communication.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to policy development within the unit.
