Qualifications

• One year in a charge/relief charge position preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in acute care.
• California RN license current.
• BLS certification current.
• ACLS certification current.
• NIHSS certification current.
• PALS certification current.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or allied health preferred or in progress within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel and coordinate unit activities for a 12-hour shift.
• Direct clinical nursing care on the unit and lead the care team.
• Respond to requests for patient care and intervene as expert clinician.
• Conduct board rounds to meet patient and family needs.
• Manage performance of unit personnel.
• Provide administrative and clinical support under supervision and assist with financial management of the unit.
• Maintain clinical competencies and participate in Respiratory Protection Program.
