Arbors at Streetsboro is seeking a Unit Manager Registered Nurse to direct the nursing unit operations in a long-term care facility. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, staffing, and budgetary oversight, with opportunities for clinical leadership and staff development.

The position requires an RN license, a nursing degree, and at least three years of nursing experience, including a year in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• RN license (state requirements). CPR teaching certificate if applicable.
• Three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Performs General Management Functions such as hiring, disciplining and evaluating employees.
• Plans and facilitates meetings and committees to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Manages area of responsibility with the goal of achieving and maintaining the highest quality of care possible.
• Participates in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that promote recruitment, retention, development and continuing education of nursing staff.
• Contacts physicians as necessary and ensures timely and appropriate interventions.
• Reviews staffing patterns and census to ensure staffing meets resident needs and budgetary controls.
• Monitors clinical operations and ensures safe, quality care.
• Obtains medications, supplies and medical records for safe and therapeutic care.
• Assists in orientation of new personnel and guides staff as needed.
• Participates in facility QA program.

Education
