Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; degree preferred.
• RN license with state requirements.
• CPR certification, if applicable.
• Three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, disciplining and evaluating employees.
• Plan and facilitate meetings to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Manage area of responsibility to achieve high quality care.
• Develop, implement and evaluate nursing staff education programs.
• Coordinate physician contacts to ensure timely interventions.
• Review staffing patterns and census; reassign staff as needed for resident needs and budget.
