Job summary

South Carolina Health Care Association is seeking an RN - Unit Manager to lead nursing services on a designated unit. In partnership with the Director of Nursing, you will coordinate clinical services and oversee the delivery of care for residents.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, valid RN licensure in the state, current CPR certification, and 1–3 years of supervisory experience. This is an in-person, exempt/salaried position with daily responsibilities in a nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid State licensure as an RN.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate systems to facilitate quality resident care.
• Facilitate resolution of issues related to resident/patient care including family issues.
• Implement and evaluate nursing procedures and systems for unit programming.
• Make nursing diagnoses that drive the care strategy.
• Perform nursing assessments of residents/patients health status.
• Develop and implement care plans and nursing care.
• Provide health education to patients and families.
• Participate in quality assurance activities.
• Adhere to scope of practice limitations based on qualifications.
• Complete forms and documentation per policy and regulations.
• May perform general nursing duties during emergencies or staffing shortages.
• Other duties as assigned.
