Progressive Quality Care Inc. is seeking a dedicated Unit Manager for a long-term care facility. The role leads a nursing team, oversees care plans, and collaborates with dietary, pharmacy, and therapy departments to ensure high-quality resident care.

The position requires RN or LPN licensure in the state of employment, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills. The facility emphasizes family-like teamwork and ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in the state of employment.
• Geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to make sound judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Promote census growth and monitor its impact on facility success.
• Make rounds and confer with nursing staff to monitor resident care.
• Report changes in resident conditions to the Administrative Office.
• Supervise nursing personnel across all shifts and provide orientation.
• Review and update nursing care plans and document diligently.
• Follow directives from the DON and provide written reports in their absence.
• Coordinate with department heads and consultants (dietary, pharmacy, therapy).
• Oversee Utilization Review activities per Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
• Educate staff on documentation requirements for skilled care.
• Address nursing-related issues and ensure floor coverage during shortages.
