Job summary

Millington Healthcare Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to fill a management/leadership role as RN Unit Manager in a skilled nursing facility. The RN Unit Manager supports the DON with clinical operations, ensuring quality care, compliance, and positive outcomes while maintaining patient, family, and staff satisfaction on a designated shift.

The role is primarily Monday–Friday with rotating on-duty and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

Current RN license in Tennessee.
BLS/CPR certification.
In-depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelines.
Responsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
Experience supervising GNAs and LPNs in a nursing home setting.

Responsibilities

Observe and monitor residents’ health and assess needs to provide quality care.
Collaborate with physicians to create individual care plans and assist during procedures.
Maintain healthcare records and reports (PCC) according to best practices.
Supervise and train GNAs and LPNs on staff.
Administer medications and provide emergency medical care when needed.
Coordinate staffing coverage with DON and ensure timely services.
Assess performance of nursing staff while on duty.
Maintain a respectful, team-oriented environment for staff and patients.
Monitor nursing care to reduce hospitalizations and improve outcomes.
Review prospective admissions for nursing capability and readiness.
