Job summary

Luxe Healthcare is seeking a Unit Manager to oversee day-to-day patient care and supervise nursing staff in a Florida long-term care or skilled setting. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while upholding company policies.

Responsibilities include policy development, staff training, scheduling, and maintaining quality of care with a focus on patient and family satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN License in the state.
• Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting.
• At least 1 year of experience as a nurse supervisor.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, laws and regulations for nursing care centers.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day patient care and supervise nurse staff.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for nursing.
• Coordinate and enforce program, operational, and personnel policies.
• Ensure quality of care by adhering to regulatory standards and performance measures.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train nursing staff and auxiliaries.
• Schedule and assign nursing staff; monitor work results and follow up.
• Coach, counsel, and discipline staff; manage performance.
• Establish compassionate environment for patients, families, and friends.
• Promote patient independence through goals and education.
• Maintain infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Contribute to QAPI process and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation of patient care services and audits.
