Job summary

Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Hoover is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the daily clinical operations of the assigned unit while staying connected to patients and staff. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday day shift leadership role designed for an RN who wants to mentor, problem-solve, and improve patient outcomes.

You'll oversee RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, conduct rounds, monitor care quality, and coordinate with physicians and therapy teams to ensure timely orders and thorough

Qualifications

• Current Alabama RN license in good standing.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Previous nursing experience required.
• Leadership/Unit Manager or Nurse Manager experience preferred.
• Geriatric nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of your assigned unit.
• Lead, supervise, coach, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Conduct regular patient rounds and monitor quality of care.
• Assess changes in patient condition and ensure follow-up.
• Ensure physician orders are carried out accurately and timely.
• Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Support individualized care planning and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and the care team.
• Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Promote infection prevention and regulatory compliance.
• Help develop staff through coaching, education and accountability.
• Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence on the unit.
