Encore of Wilmington is seeking a Unit Manager to oversee the nurses’ station on the assigned floor, ensuring staffing, schedules, and assignments are efficiently managed. This role may require direct patient care and filling on med carts.

The position emphasizes leadership in a hospitality-focused environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• RN license in Delaware required.
• Geriatric care experience preferred.
• Previous management and scheduling experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nurses, CNAs, and SNF staffing.
• Administer direct care as necessary.
• Give and receive shift reports.
• Round the floor at least three times per shift.
• Maintain relationships with family, residents, manager and staff.
• Work with managers and admission team to ensure smooth workflow.
• Attend all SNF department meetings.
• Assist with communicating changes and training as needed.
• Maintain safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.
• Counsel staff as needed.
• Respond to resident call bells and family concerns.
