Job summary

Encore HCS in Wilmington is seeking an Unit Manager for the 8:00am-4:30pm shift. You will oversee the nurses' station, supervise nurses and aides, manage staffing and schedules, and participate in shift handoffs to ensure quality resident care.

The role requires an RN license in Delaware, geriatric care experience, and proven management abilities to lead a team with compassion while coordinating with admissions and other department managers.

Qualifications

Encore of Wilmington - Unit Manager 8:00am-4:30pm

The Unit Nurse, RN is responsible for the overall oversight of the nurses' station on the assigned floor. This will include staffing needs, schedules, and assignments/assignment changes. The unit nurse manager may need to administer medication or fill in on med carts.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

Essential Job Duties:

• Supervise all nurses, CNAs and SNF staffing.

• Maintains relationships with family, residents, manager and all staff.


• Works closely with other managers and admission team to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of all work.


• Attend all meetings regarding the SNF department.


• Assist with communicating changes and/or new training as needed.

Other Duties:

• Maintains safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.


• Counsels staff as needed.


• Responds to resident call bells and family members concerns.
