Job summary

Encore of Wilmington is seeking a Unit Manager (RN) for the 8:00am-4:30pm shift to oversee the nurses’ station on the assigned floor. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, and assignments, with potential direct care as needed.

Key duties include supervising nurses and CNAs, providing shift reports, and coordinating with admission teams to ensure smooth workflow. Strong leadership and geriatric care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Delaware.
• Geriatric care experience preferred.
• Management experience required.
• Ability to lead a care team with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nurses, CNAs and SNF staffing on the unit.
• Administer direct care when necessary.
• Gives and receives shift reports.
• Round the floor at least three times per shift.
• Maintain relationships with residents’ families and staff.
• Collaborate with admissions to ensure smooth workflow.
• Attend SNF department meetings.
• Assist with training and changes as needed.
• Counsel staff and respond to resident calls.
