Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Health, a UHS facility, is seeking an RN Unit Manager to provide administrative and clinical supervision to nursing staff on two units, coordinating with directors to ensure safe, efficient inpatient services. Responsibilities include training and evaluating staff, scheduling, delegation of duties, and delivering direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
• Currently licensed by the State of Michigan as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical supervision to nursing staff on two units.
• Coordinate training, supervision, and evaluation of staff and unit clerks.
• Schedule staff and delegate duties; ensure efficient unit operations.
• Deliver direct patient care when needed in the nursing capacity.
• Collaborate with physicians and other department managers across units C & F.
