Job summary

Universal Health Services’ Metropolitan Behavioral Health (an UHS facility) seeks an RN Unit Manager to provide administrative and clinical supervision for nursing and mental health staff across multiple units. This leader will coordinate care delivery, supervise staff, and partner with physicians and administration to ensure efficient operations.

The role requires a Michigan RN license and 5+ years of progressive nursing leadership, with BSN preferred and knowledge of JCAHO/CMS/OSHA standards,

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Experience: At least 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience; experience in staff education and 24-hour shift staffing.
• Licensure: Currently licensed by the State of Michigan as an RN.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA requirements and state/federal regulations; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical supervision to all nursing staff and mental health technicians on two or more units.
• Coordinate operations and liaison with department directors and administration.
• Lead training, supervision/evaluation, staffing, and patient care services in nursing.
