Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid is seeking a high-quality, compassionate RN Unit Manager to make a difference in the lives of our residents and their families. We are looking to fill full-time positions.

RN Unit Manager Position Overview:

The Unit Manager is responsible for nursing services and social programming oversight for residents on their assigned unit, 24/7. This includes communication with physicians, families, co-workers, other healthcare professionals, management, and staff performance management, including hiring and termination. The individual is responsible for nursing care reporting, documentation, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

RN Unit Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate residents’ nursing care plans, coordinating interdisciplinary goals and approaches to residents’ healthcare needs.
• Maintain the unit and environment for staff and residents' well-being.
• Attend all meetings and required or preferred in-service training as requested by the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
• Generate ideas to improve care quality and increase job productivity and satisfaction.
• Encourage staff involvement and recognize exceptional contributions.

Base wages increase with experience!

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience and at least one (1) year in a leadership role.
• Interest or experience in geriatrics.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience with dementia population is desirable.
