Job summary

Excelcare at Lewes is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit in our skilled nursing facility. You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a patient-centered care approach.

You will partner with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, participate in care plan meetings, and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers. Strong leadership, clinical excellence, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit.
• Supervise, support, and mentor LPNs and CNAs on the unit.
• Ensure residents receive high-quality nursing care per care plans and physician orders.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete and review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with other departments to support resident needs.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Address staff concerns and help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.

As a key member of our team, you will oversee the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong support for nursing staff.

RN Unit Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the daily clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit
• Supervising, supporting, and mentoring LPNs and CNAs on the unit
• Ensuring residents receive high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans and physician orders

Qualifications:
