Position: RN Unit Manager
Location: Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Queens, NY
Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 annually, based on experience

Join our team at Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation as an RN Unit Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring top-quality care for our residents. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support and guide our nursing staff, making a positive impact every day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the DON and ADON in managing the daily operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with regulations and facility standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring team members adhere to their job responsibilities.
• Review and address staff grievances, escalating concerns to the DON as needed.
• Oversee staffing to ensure 24/7 nursing coverage, minimizing overtime and agency use.
• Lead performance reviews, progressive counseling, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions.
• Offer professional support to unit staff, fostering a collaborative and caring environment.
• Participate in quality assurance, budgeting, and committee activities, ensuring continuous improvement in care delivery.
• Take ownership of MDS completion and provide input on resident discharge plans in coordination with families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure residents and their families receive compassionate, personalized care in a supportive atmosphere.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license in the State of New York
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
