Job summary

The Pavilion Management Company in Dayton, OH is seeking an RN Unit Manager to oversee daily operations and clinical care of residents in our assisted living community.

This leadership role ensures quality, compliance with federal and state guidelines, and compassionate care while guiding staff, coordinating nursing services, and maintaining an optimal level of medications and supplies.

Qualifications

  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum two years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings.
  • Minimum one year of nursing management experience.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the unit assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
  • Reviews complaints and grievances by staff and reports to the Director of Nursing as required.
  • Maintains adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment; notifies personnel of needs.
  • Assists in developing assessments of residents' nursing needs.
  • Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.
  • Encourages staff to attend outside training programs.

RN Unit Manager
Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN Unit Manager to join our team at Pavilion Management Company in Dayton, OH. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and clinical care of residents within our assisted living community. This leadership role ensures quality, compliance, and compassionate care in accordance with all state and federal guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the unit assigned.

  • Ensure compliance with current applicable federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.

  • Reviews of complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Make appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary.

  • Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel of needs.

  • Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.

  • Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.

  • Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate.

  • Review nurses' notes to ensure they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided, that they reflect the resident's response to the care, and that such care is provided in accordance with the resident's wishes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university,

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric setting as an LPN/RN.

  • Minimum (1) year of experience in nursing management.

  • Current CPR Certification.
