Job summary

Riverview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a 190-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility in Rhode Island, seeks a Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on an assigned unit and ensure resident-centered care with strong clinical leadership.

Qualified candidates must hold an active Rhode Island RN license, a BLS CPR certification, and have at least five years of nursing experience with two years of supervisory experience; full-time with hourly pay 47–52 USD and daily pay option, plus

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in Rhode Island.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations on the assigned unit.
• Coordinate resident care for highest physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure incident reporting with follow-up and communication to Administrator and DON.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the DON.
• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor care plans, regulations, and quality standards for optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care.

Responsibilities for Unit Manager:

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Rhode Island.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
