Job summary

Cortland-Park-Rehabilitation-and-Nursing-Cente is hiring an RN Unit Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the nursing unit and mentor staff to deliver exceptional care. The role focuses on resident safety, policy enforcement, and effective team leadership within a supportive environment.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday 8am–4pm (flexible hours possible) with a $6,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive salary of $83,200. Weekend coverage is not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Unit Manager role.
• Valid RN license is required.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and manage unit operations to ensure efficient and compliant care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and enforce employee policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care.
• Mentor and support less experienced nurses, providing clinical guidance and career development advice.
• Establish and uphold standards of care for the unit, ensuring resident safety and well-being.
• Review resident records and monitor the quality of care; ensure accurate treatment plans.
• Conduct case reviews and ensure individualized care plans are followed.
• Address inquiries and concerns from residents and families in a timely, professional manner.
• Ensure the unit is adequately stocked with necessary medical supplies.
• Advocate for the unit's interests to upper management and collaborate on issues.

RN Unit Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operations of our nursing unit, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care. As a mentor and role model, you will guide and support our nursing staff to deliver exceptional care, promote a positive work environment, and foster strong relationships with residents and their families.
