Job summary

St Elizabeth Rehab & Nursing, a Vierra Communities property, seeks a Unit Manager (RN) to lead nursing services, ensure quality patient care, and manage unit operations. This full-time exempt role requires clinical leadership, staff oversight, and regulatory compliance.

The Unit Manager will guide nursing staff, coordinate resources, and promote professional development while enhancing resident satisfaction in a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited college or university or nursing institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years of direct care experience in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings as an LPN/RN.
• Minimum (1) year of nursing management experience as RN and >3 years as LPN.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must meet state licensure requirements and have no disciplinary actions affecting licensure.
• Proficiency with HRIS and timekeeping/attendance software.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents in the facility.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
• Reviews complaints and grievances by staff and reports to the Director of Nursing and Administrator as required.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment, notifying Central Supplies as needed.
• Assists in developing assessments of nursing needs for residents.
• Ensures nursing/aide assignments are completed as indicated.
• Encourages staff to attend training programs and schedules times accordingly.
• Reviews nurses' notes to ensure accuracy and alignment with residents' wishes.
