Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for our Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center. This role supports the ED team during evenings and provides core nursing leadership in a high-volume setting.

Qualifying candidates may receive a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. BSN is required, RN license and BLS within 90 days are expected, with emergency department experience preferred.

• BSN required.
• RN license required; BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in emergency department settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care coordination in a fast-paced ED environment alongside emergency medicine providers and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support the ED team during evening shifts and high-acuity trauma cases in a Level I trauma center.
