Job summary

Adventist Health Portland seeks an experienced nurse leader to schedule, lead, and coordinate the daily activities of a defined unit on a day shift. You will oversee the delivery of safe, high‑quality nursing care and ensure regulatory compliance while mentoring staff and serving as a resource and change agent for the department.

You will direct a team of nurses and support staff, coordinate with other care units, and participate in hiring, performance reviews, and staffing decisions to maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Five years' technical experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with entire care team to meet needs of patient and family through continuum of care. Intercedes as a patient advocate. Coordinates nursing care with other healthcare disciplines and assists in integrating services across the continuum of care.
• Assists department Manager in accomplishing unit and organizational goals. Supervises staffing and scheduling personnel; conducts performance evaluations.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and adherence to hospital policies; conducts rounds/audits to verify standards; provides administrative support to the Nurse Manager.
