Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the Vascular Stepdown/IMCU unit to provide clinical leadership and oversee nursing care delivery. The role supports patient safety, quality initiatives, workflow optimization, and staff development in a 24-bed IMCU setting.

The ideal candidate has an BSN or MSN, RN licensure, BLS within 90 days, and at least 18 months of RN experience in a stepdown/intermediate care environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN required.
• RN license required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 18 months RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department.
• Leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to staff development.
• Increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent customer service.
